PRAYER UPDATE

The purpose of the Mallary Baptist Association is to equip churches to make disciples.

CRISIS PRAYER REQUESTS

  1. Pray for the disaster relief efforts here in U.S. and overseas; those who have lost loved ones, been injured, or lost property or possessions; the Disaster Relief Volunteers assisting; and that the Gospel would be proclaimed.

  2. Pray for Mark Burgos, MNYBA Mission Team Coordinator, and his health needs.

ACTS 1:8 PRAYER PLAN

our Jerusalem

  1. Pray for our Vision to become a reality:
    "Serving together the churches of the Mallary Baptist Association will make disciples to impact the world."
  2. We are praying for our churches and pastors according to an alphabetical list of churches. Pray this time for East Albany Baptist Church (no pastor), Evergreen Baptist Church (Ronald Barrett, interim pastor), Faith Baptist Church (Jerry Deans, pastor), and First Baptist Church Acree (Gerald Purvis, interim pastor).
  3. Pray for the churches without pastors: Beacon, East Albany, Evergreen, First Acree, Friendship, Gordy-New Bethel, Liberty Hill, Poulan, Red Oak, Sunnyside, and Thundering Springs.
  4. Pray for the South Georgia Center, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (seminary extension) its teachers and students.
  5. Pray for our city and county officials in Dougherty, Lee, and Worth Counties.
  6. Pray for our schools, boards of education, superintendents, principals, teachers, and students.
  7. Pray for the lost in your family and your circle of influence (work, school, recreation, neighborhood, etc.).
  8. Pray for unity in the body of Christ in Albany and surrounding area.
  9. Pray for the monthly meetings of the Prayer Team, Discipleship Team, Evangelism/Missions Team, Administrative Team, as well as the monthly MBA Prayer Time.
  10. Pray for our Prayer Walking the Schools September 21 and See You at the Pole prayer gatherings September 22.
  11. Pray for the “Seeking the Lord for Revival” conferences with Manley Beasley September 30-October 3 and especially for the Joint Worship Service for Mallary Churches October 3.
  12. Pray for the MBA Annual Meeting October 21 and Fred Luter, pastor of Franklin Ave Baptist Church, New Orleans, who will be preaching.
  13. Pray for the ministries (health and entertainment) at the Exchange Club Fair October 26-31.
  14. Pray for the GBC Annual Meeting at Sherwood Baptist Church November 9-10, 2010.

our Judea

  1. Pray for our state government officials.
  2. Pray for the Georgia Baptist Convention: its ministries and employees.
  3. Pray for the Georgia Baptists' Partnerships: California, Moscow/St. Petersburg, New York City, Western Canada, Yucatan Peninsula (Mexico).

OUR SAMARIA 

  1. Pray for our national government leaders.
  2. Pray for the North American Mission Board and its missionaries.
  3. Pray for NAMB as they search for a new president.
  4. Pray for the Southern Baptist Convention and its ministries.
  5. Pray for our partnership with the Metro New York Baptist Association, New York; George Russ, executive director; its 260 churches; and their church planting efforts.
  6. Pray for the revival of God’s people and the spiritual awakening of our nation and the world.

OUR UTTERMOST PARTS OF THE WORLD

  1. Pray for the International Mission Board and its missionaries.
  2. Pray for the IMB as they search for a new president.
  3. Pray for the one billion plus Muslims of the world that they would come to an understanding of who Jesus Christ is.
  4. Pray for the salvation of the 100 Largest Unreached People Groups (We will pray for four each time.): Pray for the Arab people of Tunisia whose major religion is Islam, the Arab people of Yemen whose major religion is Islam, the Arab people of Pakistan whose major religion is Islam, and the Azerbajani people of Iran whose major religion is Islam.
  5. Pray for the situation in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank that progress would be made toward peace.
  6. Pray for protection for our armed forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.
  7. Pray that the people of Iraq and Afghanistan would have stable governments and that they would have an opportunity to hear the Gospel and respond.
  8. Pray for the persecuted Christians of the world.
  9. Pray for the ongoing work at KM 80, those from Jezreel Church (Cancun) that minister there, and that the people of KM 80 will respond to the Gospel.

ANSWERS TO PRAYER

Praise the Lord for what God continues to do through our churches to bring people to Himself.

REMINDER:  Associational Prayer Time is every third Monday
